A three-poster series to pay homage to the 1964 and 1999-2000 version of First Things First manifesto. The first one — written 29 November 1963 and published in 1964 by Ken Garland together with twenty-one graphic designers and artists — explicitly affirmed the belief that design is not a neutral, value-free process. The updated version — signed by a group of 33 figures from the international graphic design community and simultaneously published in 1999 by some industry magazines such as Adbusters or Emigre — aimed to generate discussion about the graphic design profession’s priorities in the design press and at design schools.
